APH Holding is delighted to announce the appointment of the Hon. Ryan Smith as Director – Corporate Strategy.
Ryan served in the Victorian Parliament for over sixteen years, having won five state elections in that time.
Having served as a Minister in the former Coalition government and holding the role of Party spokesman in over a dozen portfolios, including Planning, Finance and Infrastructure, Ryan brings a wide range of experience to our organisation.
During his parliamentary career, Ryan has built strong networks with local and state governments, with the media and across the broader business community.
Ryan’s experience includes developing and implementing policy initiatives, and he has fostered a reputation for his pragmatic approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify and manage stakeholder expectations. This experience will be invaluable as Ryan contributes to the strategic direction of APH Holding as we continue to grow.
Prior to his parliamentary career, Ryan had an 18-year career in the corporate sector, working with established corporations including BP Finance, Orica Ltd, National Australia Bank and the Commonwealth Bank.
In these roles Ryan had a particular focus on the financial markets. This incorporated the development of strategies for the management of debt, currency and commodity exposures, the oversight of internal business units’ financials and the monitoring of relevant governance requirements.
Ryan’s corporate and parliamentary careers combine to make a unique blend of experience. We are delighted to have him join the APH Holding family.
